Lucasfilm's Habitat was created by Lucasfilm Games, a division of LucasArtsEntertainment Company, in association with Quantum Computer Services, Inc.It was arguably one of the first attempts to create a very large scalecommercial multi-user virtual environment. It was published in Cyberspace: First Steps, MichaelBenedikt (ed.), 1990, MIT Press, Cambridge, Mass. This paper was presented at The First Annual International Conferenceon Cyberspace in 1990.
